TASTING COMMENTS
Attractive deep garnet-red, dark carmine color. Very ripe, jammy nose (cherry, plum), with a touch of wood. Supple on the palate, with a light, fatty texture. Well-balanced. A marked woody presence. A wine for laying down.
The pretty, brilliant garnet-red color, with hints of evolution, gives way to a very expressive, almost sweet nose reminiscent of a red fruit salad with wine and spice syrup. The palate is beautiful, at once gourmand with vanilla and cinnamon accents, and structured with elegant, easily digestible tannins. Tart and roasted finish. A wine to be served at around 16°C with spicy honey-glazed duck. - 1001 Dégustations
If the wood had been used more judiciously, this would already have been a rich wine. As it is, the toasty wood character needs time to dissipate and integrate. The fruit itself is full-bodied and juicy. The Cabernet Sauvignon dominates and adds fruity structure. Drink from 2018. - Roger Voss for the Wine Enthusiast
